Wizards of the Coast have partnered with ReedPop, the large pop culture event company best known in gaming for their PAX events, to create Magic 30, a celebration of three decades of Magic: The Gathering.
The event will be held October 28-30 at the EXPO at World Market Center in Las Vegas.
MtG creator Richard Garfield will be attending virtually.
More details on events and guests will be released in July but Magic 30 will feature:
- A Modern tournament that feeds into a Top 8 Beta draft. Yes, Limited Edition Beta.
- The return of The Command Zone dedicated play area plus a few Commander aficionados stopping by in Gavin Verhey, Jimmy Wong, and Josh Lee Kwai
- Unfinity events hosted by none other than Mark Rosewater
- Some of the most talented cosplayers in Magic, including Olivia Gobert-Hicks and Taalia Vess (with more coming!)
- Parties Friday and Saturday night (ticketed, but included in the VIP all-access pass)
- Magic World Championship XXVIII
- An exclusive Secret Lair
- Panels, interviews, and special content featuring the very people who make Magic: The Gathering
- Mystery Booster drafts
Tickets go on sale in July with tickets ranging from $30 to $75.
